Signarama of North Stonington is seeking an organized, customer-focused Inside Sales Support Specialist to be a welcoming first point of contact for our customers and a dependable link between sales, design, production, vendors, and delivery. You will listen carefully, help customers turn ideas into effective signage solutions, prepare accurate estimates and orders, and keep projects moving through clear communication and complete records.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Respond promptly and professionally to customers in person, by phone, and by email.
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand each customer’s goals, budget, timing, brand, and application; recommend appropriate solutions and escalate technical, design, pricing, permitting, or installation questions when needed.
• Prepare straightforward estimates and work orders, clearly documenting scope, quantities, materials, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, timelines, and customer decisions.
• Maintain accurate customer, estimate, work-order, approval, deposit, artwork, tax, payment, and follow-up records in company systems.
• Confirm that approved proofs, scope details, artwork, contact information, and required payments are complete before work advances.
• Monitor project milestones and provide timely updates regarding approvals, information needs, payments, pickup, delivery, and installation.
• Secure required deposits and assist with final payment collection and order closeout.
• Follow up on open quotes, completed orders, inactive accounts, referrals, reviews, and approved marketing campaigns; conduct professional outbound calls to help develop new business.
• Coordinate with vendors on sourcing and with design and production teams to ensure clear, accurate handoffs and quality results.
• Support invoicing, reporting, filing, closeout, and other administrative or store duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional front counter, lobby, and sample area.
• Protect confidential customer and company information.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in customer service, inside sales, retail, administration, or account coordination preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, spelling, grammar, proofreading, data-entry, and follow-up skills.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
• Comfortable using email, phones, Microsoft 365, CRM/POS systems, and basic business math; willing to learn sign products, software, and production workflows.
• Working knowledge of basic sales, relationship-building, and telephone outreach principles.
• Professional judgment, discretion, reliability, and a team-first approach.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant additional education or experience is a plus.

PAY AND BENEFITS
$22–$26 per hour, depending on experience. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based primarily at the front counter and in an office environment and involves frequent computer and telephone use. The employee must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, walk, reach, and safely handle samples and routine office materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
